Sandwich Clean

Learn to generate force with your legs and save your low back some grief! Safely and smoothly bring your kettlebell to the chest as you set up for goblet squats and set a foundation for other clean variations.

How to do Sandwich Clean:

  1. Start in a deadlift stance with your kettlebell between your feet, as the hips reach back grip the handle.

  2. Press powerfully into your heels to stand up fast. Throwing the kettlebell towards your face before the kettlebell gets there. During the transition your hands will slide from the top of the handle to the side/horns of the handle.

  3. The bell will land in the goblet position with your elbows at the ribcage. This can also be done coming out of a backswing.
